CJ ENM and Five-Star Production have signed a first memorandum of understanding to explore co-production opportunities between Korea and Thailand, marking an early step toward deeper collaboration between two of Asia’s most active screen industries.

The agreement is expected to focus on feature films, premium series, and talent exchange, with both companies looking at projects that can travel across regional and international markets. The partnership will also open conversations around shared development, production services, locations, and distribution strategies.

Announced ahead of Siamese Filmart, the pact reflects growing interest in Thailand as a creative and production hub for Asian content. With experienced crews, diverse locations, and a rising generation of filmmakers, Thailand continues to attract international partners looking for fresh stories and scalable production opportunities.

Industry observers see the move as a strong signal for the coming year, especially as Korean studios continue to expand their regional partnerships and Thai producers look for new pathways into global markets.

“This is not only a production conversation. It is a signal that Asian studios are ready to build stories together from the ground up.”
